Riddles for Kids and their Curious Parents No.5

Riddles for Kids and their Curious Parents No.5

It’s Sunday today. A hot summer one. There’s nothing we want more than a tall iced coffee in the morning to kick start our day. You must be wondering “what goes best with iced coffee?”. Solving a hard riddle would be the answer. You might need some help solving this, so get the family around and let’s see how it goes. You should keep in mind that this is a hard riddle for kids, but most times, like this one, adults find it challenging as well. Let’s see what we have for you.

Riddle Name: 100 Lockers

Complexity Level: 4 of 5

You have a row of 100 lockers, all of which are closed. You then proceed to open every locker. Next, you close every second locker. After that, you go to every third locker and close it if it is open, and open it if it is closed. You continue this pattern with every fourth locker, every fifth locker, and so on, until you reach locker 100. Which lockers will be open when you are finished?

The Challenge

Keep in mind that every once in a while you’ll find a locker that you have opened or closed before. You can write things down or use any tactic you can think of. We highly suggest that you first start with understanding the problem using your mind only, this will improve your future solving skills and adds more fun to the process.

Solving the Riddle

The best part of riddles are solving them. Sometimes, you think you got the answer but then you find out that you got it wrong for some reason.

Perfect, If you’re ready, let’s find out the answer.
