Answer - Riddles for Kids and their Curious Parents No.2

Good to see you here. If we meet here, it probably means that you think you have the answer to our Crossing the River riddle.

Solving the Riddle

Ahoy! So you’ve got to the river with the Tiger, the Rabbit and the bag of Carrots. Crossing the river ,using the small boat you’ve just found, crossing one object at a time would be our challenge.

So, if we take the Rabbit from Side A to Side B we get this status:

Side A:

Tiger

Carrots

Side B:

Rabbit

Then, we go back and pick the Carrots from Side A to Side B. But, now that we arrive at Side B, we switch the Rabbit with the Carrots and take him with us to Side A so he won’t stay with the Carrots.

Side A:

Tiger

Boat:

Carrots (Switch)

Side B:

Rabbit  (Switch)

Then, we do the same switch between the Tiger and the Rabbit on Side A.

Side A:

Tiger (Switch)

Boat:

Rabbit (Switch)

Side B:

Carrots

Finally, after the Tiger and the Carrots are both on Side B, we go ahead and pick the Rabbit from Side A to Side B.

Side A:

Rabbit

Boat:

(empty)

Side B:

Carrots, Tiger

That’s it! We’ve just finished crossing the river successfully with everyone safe.

Side A:

(empty)

Boat:

(empty)

Side B:

Carrots, Tiger, Rabbit

Fhewww! That was something, right?

Go for another spin.
